Statement of Faith

The Foundation:
In Christ Alone
A horse must be started on a solid foundation.
A believer must also be started on a solid foundation, which is the rock of Christ, NOT works, traditions and emotions BUT by faith alone in Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The First Ride:
New Birth in Christ
Just as when a horse has his first ride, they are born again as a new creature with a new future, believers must be born again.
ABC’s of Salvation

Admit you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Believe Jesus died and rose again.
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Confess Him as Lord.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Training:
Growth and Obedience
A young horse learns through repetition, guidance, and trust, just like young believers do.

Luke 2:52 - And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Wisdom – learning God’s word
Stature - Growing in character and discipline
Favor with God - Personal relationship through prayer and obedience
Favor with Man - Living out the gospel in the community
The Obstacles:
Trials and Trust
Horses face distractions, fear, and obstacles. To overcome this, they must learn to trust the rider and master fully.
Believers face trials too, but faith grows through testing and we learn to trust our Master fully as we face trials.

James 1:2-4 - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

The key is trusting God’s word and leading.

The Finished Horse:
A Life of Purpose
A seasoned horse is calm, useful, and responsive, always ready to serve.
A mature Christian lives to glorify God, reflect Christ and serve others.
Maturity develops through practice and discernment.
Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The Emphasis:
Always Christ Alone
Not training methods, not “good works” and not heritage, nor traditions....... JUST JESUS.
We are justified by faith in Christ, not the law.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Keep pointing children and their families to Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
